What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser or on your device when you use a website or an online service. Similar technologies may also be used to store or read information on your device, for example local storage in the browser.

How we use cookies

SiteAdmin primarily uses necessary cookies and similar technologies so that the platform can function correctly and securely.

This may include, for example:

• keeping you signed in during your session
• protecting the platform against unauthorised access and abuse
• handling secure sign-in and form requests
• maintaining session management
• remembering basic technical settings in the platform

Necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to work as intended. Without them, core parts of the platform — such as sign-in, security and session management — may stop working correctly.

Because these cookies are necessary to provide the service requested by the user, they are used without separate consent. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) states that necessary cookies do not require consent when they are needed for the platform to function as intended, for example to access protected areas while signed in.

Statistics and logging

SiteAdmin uses internal statistics, logging and system monitoring to oversee operations, security and performance.

This monitoring is primarily carried out through internal systems, server logs and database-based summaries. SiteAdmin does not use cookies for analytics or statistics purposes that require separate consent.

If cookies or similar technologies that are not necessary for the platform’s operation begin to be used for statistics, analytics or other additional purposes, this will be stated in this policy and, where required, preceded by consent. PTS states that statistics cookies are not covered by the exemption merely because the website owner considers them necessary.

Third-party services

The platform is designed to avoid unnecessary external calls and third-party tracking as far as possible. If external services are used in certain parts of the platform, for example for payments or other integrated features, those services may in some cases use their own cookies or similar technologies. Such services are then also covered by the respective provider’s own terms and policies.

Retention period

The cookies used for the platform’s operation are generally session-based and are deleted when you close your browser or sign out of the platform. Cookies are not kept longer than necessary for secure and correct operation.

How you manage cookies

You can manage and delete cookies in your browser yourself. You can also configure the browser to block cookies or to warn you when a cookie is stored.

Please note that some parts of the platform may not work correctly if necessary cookies are blocked.
